Up a crooked stairway, a salon-style space in an historic block near
the headquarters of emancipationist Cassius Marcellus Clay, the Gallerie
Soleil is located near the old slave market and slave holding pens of
Lexington in the 1800's. Home to artists Johnny Lackey, John Ridner,
Blake Eames and Robert Morgan.

Studio 603 is located in a historic house and represents two working
artists studios. Debbie Westerfield is a painter who incorporates
lots of texture, bright colors and whimsical figures. Vivid,
bright, beautiful color is essential for her paintings. Jennifer
Stephenson McLamb combines her love for the earth and her creative
passion to craft contemporary, one-of-a-kind wearable art jewelry
that has low impact on our planet.
Bluegrass Printmakers
Cooperative
The co-op, established by LexArts as a community arts initiative,
is located in the basement of ArtsPlace. the goals of the co-op
are to be a thriving printmaking studio; to create a dialog about prints
and art; and to expose and educate the community about printmaking.
During each Gallery Hop printmakers will be working in the studio and
selling work.

Artists' Attic is a unique organization of artists with studios and
gallery space in Victorian Square. Painters, sculptors, clay artists,
jewelers and illustrators work in individual studios that are open to
the public. New exhibits open every six to eight weeks in the
large central gallery. Workshops are conducted throughout the
year by regional and national artists and lessons are taught by Artists'
Attic members.

Susan Gilliam's Art Studio, located at historic 312 East High Street,
became a working studio in 1981 when Susan used it primarily for painting
and showing paintings in her front window. In 1988, Susan decided
to make the studio her home. She now offers drawing and painting
classes to students of all ages. Susan does both commission work
and her own inspirations.

Studios at 122 was an original member of Gallery Hop, located in
the historic Warfield Building, circa 1806. Clay Wainscott is
a painter and Dennis Meade is a metal craftsman working with hard-fired
enamel to create pendants, bracelets and non-functional viewing objects.
